First, visit the BIR District office where you acquired your TIN Card.
If you don’t know which BIR District Office you got your TIN Card. You can call the TIN Verification Office of BIR 926-8339 or the BIR Contact Center 981-8888 or you can EMAIL at contact_us@cctr.bir.gov.ph give them your full name and your birthdate. Just ask them that you want to know where your TIN is currently registered or which BIR District Office your TIN is registered.
For the the Address of a particular BIR District Office you look it up here .
That is the BIR directory of the district offices of BIR. Or you can call the BIR Contact Center at 981-8888.
Get the address of the BIR District Office where your TIN is registered. The BIR Form 1905 is what you will be using
Click this link so you can see the actual form BIR Form 1905. In part II of this form “REASON FOR REGISTRATION INFORMATION UPDATE” in section 4B “REPLACEMENT OF LOST / DAMAGED TIN CARD“.
The needed attachment for this application is an Affidavit of Loss duly notarized of course. You can get this service from a Notary Public near your area. The notary usually cost around 50 to 100 pesos. For replacement just present your old TIN Card.
Don’t forget to sign the backside of this form. After you submitted your application ask the BIR personnel when you can get your TIN Card. Lastly, where do you file this? Submit this 1905 to the BIR District office where your TIN is currently registered. If you TIN is registered in BIR RDO handling Marikina then thats where you should file that request not with any other BIR district office. That’s it.
For new applicants for TIN card there is nothing to pay. But i came to know recently that they are charging for replacement. due to loss, around 100 pesos.
But i suggest to request to transfer your TIN to the RDO office who has jurisdiction over the area where you are currently employed. 1905 is still the form you will be using April. On the bottom part of that form sign the back portion make 3 copies and send it to any of your relatives in Bacolod to submit it for you. It usually takes an hour to route to the sections in the RDO. You can then check it with BIR TIN verification office if they have transferred your TIN.
Posted by birtaxinfo at January 15, 2010, 2:17 pmAnother option would be to fax the 1905 form to the BIR Office in Bacolod. the TSS section is the one handling this.
Posted by birtaxinfo at January 15, 2010, 2:19 pmI never had a TIN card. All I have with me is my TIN number. How do I get a TIN card? I believe it is one of the national valid IDs.
Thanks very much for your response.
Posted by Christa at January 18, 2010, 11:31 pmfill out the BIR form 1905. Like the article on this page this is the steps you will take. Verify where your TIN is currently registered or which BIR District office issued that TIN. This is where you should request for your TIN card using the 1905 fom. In this article there is a link on a PDF copy of the BIR form 1905 print this out. There is a portion in that form where you can write what you need. write down TIN CARD. Submit that to your BIR District office.
At dun kayo pumunta.
Posted by birtaxinfo at February 26, 2010, 7:19 pmsalamat sir, last question na. mga ilang working days kaya ung pag process bago ma release ung new tin id?

Sa BIR Form 1905 may section 4B “REPLACEMENT OF LOST / DAMAGED TIN CARD“.

Posted by birtaxinfo at May 12, 2010, 10:18 amDownload and fill up Form 0605 then pay P100 at BIR-accredited banks. Bring the bank-validated Form 0605 with you when you go to BIR otherwise you’re going to waste a lot of time. You need 3 copies of FOrm 0605.
When I walked into the BIR-Lucena office, there was a fairly large sign on the 4th window that told clients to get a number from the guard and “wait for your turn.” I waited 2 h and 15 min only to be told that I have to go to a bank first to pay the P100 fee. That was annoying. I wondered where their instruction was that a client has to go to a bank first. They did have an instruction posted - on an index card, typewritten in 12-type font under the large sign that told clients to get a number from the guard and “wait for your turn.” Talk about inefficiency! These chattering employees could have spent their time better by posting procedures in large font where they are easily seen BEFORE instructing clients to “get a number and wait for your turn.” There are no instructions on the BIR website that tells clients what the standard procedure is otherwise I would have expected that I would pay and I would have asked beforehand where I should pay instead of waiting for over two hours for the chattering employees to call my number and tell me that I should go to bank.
To add to my annoying afternoon, there were 40+ clients waiting for their turn and only two employees (out of the many many chattering employees) actually calling out numbers and attending to clients.

Posted by birtaxinfo at June 8, 2010, 8:44 amHi. I applied for TIN number last 2002 and after a week BIR issued a TIN card. I was advised then that the digitized TIN card will be mailed to my address. I has been 8 years and I haven’t receive any digitized TIN card. Can i still get my digitized TIN card? Does BIR still issue digitized TIN card? Whenever I do transactions and present the TIN card issued by BIR i am being asked for the digitized BIR TIN Card. How can I get a digitized TIN Card?
Posted by Ronna at June 17, 2010, 2:04 amHi Ronna, if your referring to the plastic card. The project has been stopped by our government. And was not provided the budget to continue this I believe.
The TIN Card being issued presently by BIR is the old thick paper type of card. So the owner of the TIN are the ones who will provide the photo and laminate it for better protection against the elements.
You can get this thru the BIR Revenue District Office where your TIN is currently registered. Use 1905

Posted by aiza at June 29, 2010, 4:44 pmHi Aiza, I can only answer regarding your TIN. I cannot answer you with regards to your SSS, for its a separate from BIR. You might want to visit their local office there in Gensan with regards to your SSS. Or visit their website www.sss.gov.ph
Request for TIN Card can only be done by the BIR Revenue District office (RDO) where you TIN is currently registered. So the BIR office in Gensan can view your registration but they cannot process any application pertaining your TIN since it is with the BIR RDO office in manila as you said.
But you can get your TIN number by emailing the BIRCC. EMAIL at contact_us@cctr.bir.gov.ph
Or you can fax a request to transfer your TIN in Manila to Gensan RDO. So you can request a TIN Card with the RDO in Gensan once its transferred.
But again if you are transferred back to Manila, you should make sure that you apply for transfer of again of your TIN so you won’t have any problems like this.

Posted by Norina Castillo at July 1, 2010, 4:40 pmHi Norina,

Which I doubted.
Any reply will really help po. Thanks.
Posted by Jove at July 4, 2010, 1:20 amHi Jove,
Contrary po sa sinabi ng HR Manager mo sa iyong new employer, as the article informs us na puwede po tayong mag-apply for replacement for Lost TIN Card.
Or if you haven’t requested yet for a TIN card then yun form 1905 pa rin po ang gagamitin natin para po mag apply ng TIN Card. On Part II of that form check “K” and box provided write down “TIN CARD”.
Of course you have to submit this to the BIR Revenue District Office (RDO) where your TIN is currently registered.
Now with regards naman po dun sa pag transfer ng TIN just read this article and it will guide you thru the process of transferring your TIN. Same form will be used. Again this will be submitted only to the RDO where you TIN is currently registered. Click the link to the said article:

Posted by Shane at July 26, 2010, 8:03 pmHi Shane,

my new employer is requiring a tin id, however i am registered outside of manila, hr told me i can download it on bir website and print it . i am going crazy navigating their website can someone help me
Posted by rey at August 3, 2010, 9:58 pmHi Rey,
Well, for your information your HR is incorrect in advising you to do this.
The website of the BIR does not in anyway dispense a TIN card or will show a copy of your TIN card for to be able to print a copy. There is no such service in the said website.
You need to request for your TIN to be transferred to the RDO where your employer is filing their taxes. Call the registration section of the BIR Revenue District Office (RDO) where your TIN is currently registered. You didnot mention where your TIN is registered now. If you know it I may be able to provide you with their contact numbers.
Once you TIN is transferred in the RDO in manila. You can now request for a TIN Card in the that RDO.
Posted by birtaxinfo at August 4, 2010, 10:50 pmnawala po yung tin card ko..
importante po ba na may Affidavit of Loss kang dala? mejo hassle po kasi eh, walang malapit na notary office d2 sa amin, hnd ba pwd s barangay makuha un?.. wala bang ibang document na pwd ipalit dun?
one more thing, what’s the significance of the “Affidavit of Loss” eh babayaran din naman namin yung replacement tin card.
Whats the significance? your guess is as good as mine. This is probably an area were the BIR can make some improvements.
But anyway, just call your RDO if they have lawyers there that can help with this document.

If you’re in Biñan you can fax your application for transfer to the RDO where you TIN is currently registered.
You can verify this thru the BIRCC or the TIN Verification office. Their numbers are indicated in my articles including this one. Good day.
Posted by birtaxinfo at November 10, 2010, 3:02 pmHi Cherry, its free. It depends on the workload of the RDO. But it usually takes 1-3 days.
Posted by birtaxinfo at November 10, 2010, 4:03 pmmaraming salamat at nakita ko itong site na ito. very informative and mga post and very helpful ang website owner.
patanong nga po.
may business po ako noon last 2-3 years ago pero na stop ito within 7-8 months from date of applying sa BIR.
Posted by birtaxinfo at November 13, 2010, 11:25 pmnag apply po ako ng tin no. 06, oct.
1905 din po ang form for application for transfer to another RDO.

Posted by birtaxinfo at December 5, 2010, 1:27 amGood day!
I had a TIN Number since 2003 and I was registered as single. Is it possible to apply for TIN Card using my Married name, and not in my single name? if not what do I need to do? please advise me I badly need an ID w/ my married name.
Posted by Lani at January 24, 2011, 2:52 pmHi Lani. No, it is not possible since your records with the BIR will stand unless you requested an update of your registration.
You need to request for an update. If your employed you need to use the BIR Form 2305. If not, then the 1905 will do. At the back of this form “4K” state your reason for update. And attached the required document. Which would be your marriage cert.
After the update has been done then you can request for your TIN Card which would now be under your married name.
The only BIR branch office that can process this is the Revenue District office which your TIN is currently registered. You can check this out thur the BIRCC 981-8888.
Should you have any other concerns. Just post it here. Good day.
Posted by birtaxinfo at January 24, 2011, 4:59 pmHi I have a question. What if the date on birth on my tincard is wrong do I need to get that corrected and how? How soon is the typical release time of the new carD? Thanks in advance!
Posted by KC at February 4, 2011, 10:50 pmhello sir,
ask ko lang po kung papaano yung process ng pagbayad ng monthly percentage tax using tax with held? may ganun po kasi yung form 2551M.
maraming salamat po!
Posted by bong at February 7, 2011, 9:51 amHi KC, you can apply for the correction thru BIR form 1905. Part II check box “K” and in the provided blank box “Correction of Birth date”. At the back of this form do indicate your name and sign before submitting to your RDO.
Release would depend on the work load of your RDO. They can best answer this for you.
Announcement: I am planning on posting my new articles and new info in my other blog.
Hope you can visit it also. Thank you and good day.
Posted by birtaxinfo at February 7, 2011, 4:24 pmHi Bong, the CWT or the Certificate of Percentage Tax Withheld is a tax withheld by your clients where the document that should be given as proof of this is the 2307.
The amount can be deducted your tax due. The Percentage Tax is just the tax you imposed on your business transactions or to your clients.
That is what you will need to report. Which is done monthly.
I would suggest you call the Withholding Tax Division to help you further in this matters. Their numbers are 926-9347 and 926-9351.

Hello Rodelie Banico,
Yes, you will need to submit separately these request’s. For it cannot be done at the same time. Because I would suggest you submit first your request for Transfer of your TIN. As is this what you meant on changing your registered address.
So when your TIN is already transferred to the new RDO. Then you can request for a TIN Card with your new RDO. Again using the BIR Form 1905.

Posted by angel at March 9, 2011, 10:11 amHi Angel,

i would like to confirm lang po — effective pa ba ang EO 98?
my housekeeper needs to get a passport, at wala syang ID na kahit na ano, except for her NSO birth cert, kaya hindi makapasa sa DFA. so i thought of getting her a BIR ID, though initially i thought para sa mga taxpayers lang ito.
Naniniguro lang po, may nabasa kasi akong EO 98, i just want to make sure na updated yung website info. Also, around how many days po kaya bago ma-irelease ang TIN ID CARD, kahit estimate lang po [1 week, 1 month, 3 months?] crucial lang po kasi sa passport application.
Thank you very much. Great to learn about this blog!

Posted by abercrombie Ireland at June 9, 2011, 12:12 amHi Shan, just follow the article on how to get a replacement TIN card. You will need an notarized affidavit of lost TIN card.
As a required attachment on your application for a replacement TIN card.
Should you have any other concerns just post it here.
Posted by birtaxinfo at June 13, 2011, 3:39 pmHi Agnes, this is to inform you that the TIN card is not a valid ID card.
The TIN card confirms that we have a Taxpayer Identification Number. As under our laws most government transactions requires a TIN.
Another option for a valid ID would be a Postal ID thru the local Post Office.
Application for TIN thru 1904 usually can be done within the day. Request for TIN card depends really on the work load of BIR Branch. Around 3 days more or less.
I only have around 5 or 6 articles here. As most of it came from BIR offices like Oplan Kandado.
You may want to look into my other blog.

Posted by IRENE ALFA FANGON-VILLAMIL at July 19, 2011, 7:51 amHi Mitch, first po kelangan ninyo magpa update ng status using 2305 kung kasalukuyan kayong may trabaho. attachment po ay marriage cert.
Kung wala po kayong work na. Use 1905 form attach marriage cert.
Once na update na record ninyo to your married name.
Puwede na kayong magrequest ng TIN card under your married name na. Again using 1905 din po.
Should you have any other concerns just post it here. Good day po.
Posted by birtaxinfo at July 20, 2011, 3:50 pmHi Ms. Villamil, you can request for the replacement TIN card using BIR form 1905. Attached the affidavit of loss and submit it with the BIR Revenue District office where your TIN is currently registered.
If your TIN is with BIR Urdaneta they can immediately facilitate your request.
If you are not sure where your TIN is registered just call TIN Verification Office of BIR 926-8339 or the BIR Contact Center 981-8888 or you can EMAIL at contact_us@cctr.bir.gov.ph.
This is just a personal blog and I do not have access to BIR database. Nor am I the authority to process such request. It should be with your RDO.
Should you have any other concerns. just post it here.

thanks po hope that you can help me on my query..
(revised question lang po from my first post)
Thanks for this blog site, its very informative. like the other, i only have a TIN number but no TIN card. ask ko lang sana if the tin number that was issued to me is still valid, is there a way to check online like what they have in SSS where you can just type the number and it will validate it for you if its still valid or not cause im not even certain if the TIN number i have is the correct combination.
I would suggest po tumawag po kayo sa BIR Contact center for assitance on filing or the Withholding tax division.
Should you have any other concerns. Just post it here.
Posted by birtaxinfo at August 3, 2011, 3:37 pmHi langkwentaHRnamin, you can check if you have a TIN or the correct number of that TIN thru the BIR Contact Center or the TIN Verification office.
Their numbers are indicated in the above article. Just give them your full name and birthdate.
Get the TIN and the Revenue District Office where that TIN is currently registered.
If you have any other concerns just post it here. Good day po.

Posted by birtaxinfo at September 9, 2011, 5:19 pmHi! I need some clarification regarding my tin card. I already have a one however my first name “Maria” was abbreviated to “Ma.” i want it changed. My tin was applied under eo 98.. Can i still correct this? Thanks.
Posted by Suki at September 16, 2011, 12:37 pmYes Suki, you can provided that your birth certificate indicates “Maria” and not “Ma.”.
I understand that BIR encoders are required to follow the name indicated in the birth certificate.
Use BIR form 1905 in “4G” - “CHANGE IN REGISTERED NAME” indicate what needs to change.
Attach copy of your birth cert. then submit to the RDO where your TIN is currently registered.
If this information has helped you out. Kindly inform your circle of friends for they might need this one way or another.

Posted by birtaxinfo at October 6, 2011, 11:32 amHi Po,
Your blog is so informative. Thank you so much.
HELLO PO!! NAKAKUHA NA AKO NG TIN NUMBER KO KASO WALA AKONG ID NGAYON NAKALIMUTAN KO NA ANG TIN NUMBER KO GUSTO KO LANG PO MALAMAN ANG TIN NUMBER KO MUNA PWEDE BA YUN?
Posted by MAUREEN at October 9, 2011, 7:48 pmHi Marlita Pacate, kelangan po ninyo ma settle muna ang closure ng dati ninyo business dahil BIR may not allow you to register a new business without closing your previous business.
Nagtataka lang ako na na-allow ng BIR Cebu ma-transfer ang inyong TIN sa Manila if indeed you have not yet closed your previous business.
Kelangan po dun ay DTI permit, business permit and annual registration fee is 500 pesos.
Posted by birtaxinfo at October 13, 2011, 1:19 pmHi Maureen, opo puwede po ninyo malaman ang TIN number ninyo.

Thank you very much.
Posted by ray at October 21, 2011, 10:58 pmHi Ray, sorry but thats not true. Our TIN is generated thru the BIR computer systems so its recorded in the BIR system.
So you need to call the BIR Contact Center thru their number indicated in the above post or article. They will ask your name and birthdate. If you still have a record of your TIN then give that too. So that the person in BIRCC can help you.
And also get the BIR branch were your TIN is currently registered.
I am sure if you have a TIN they can find it.
Should you have any other concerns just post it here.

Ilang days po ba processing ng tin id or card? First time ko lang, Kumuha ako sa muntinlupa branch at south station which is my rdo was registered their. I asked the employee to how can i get tin id, then he answered me what is the purposed of getting tin id? Then i said for employment and also for valid id’s. Then I filled up the the 2305 form. After submitting of the form he said i will be back in 3 days. Nagtanong tanong ako sa mga kumuha kung ilang days ma release ang tin sabi nila within the day. Bakit sakin 3 days?
Thanks this blog help us.
Posted by jenny marie at January 14, 2012, 8:33 amHi Jenny Marie,
Depends really on the work load of particular BIR Branch office. It can be released within the day though. Unless the work load of that RDO is high and could not possibly do it within the day they will in turn inform you on when you can get it.
2305? No, it should be 1905. Read the this post below:
http://tomtax.blogspot.com/2011/09/how-to-get-tin-card.html
For erring BIR personnel you need to get the name of that person and you can inform the Supervisor or the Revenue District Officer there.
Or you can report it thru eComplaint in the BIR Web. And also indicate which BIR Branch you went to.
For future queries kindly use my other blog.
Good day.
